Our Terrific Two’s Curriculum
Our Terrific Two’s class offers developmentally appropriate curriculum that will help your child learn to share and take turns. If this is your child’s first time in school we will help them learn to separate from you. In the 2 year old class, your child will:
– Begin to learn shapes and colors.
– Develop an awareness of the world around them.
– Learn appropriate social interactions with peers.
*Your two-year-old does not have to be potty trained. Our staff will work with you and your child to assist in the toilet training process.
Your Child’s Day
During your child’s day they will enjoy interacting with peers and teachers. Activities are always age appropriate and may include:
- Games and songs
- Finger play games
- Art projects both individual and collaborative
- Individual and group reading time
- Outdoor and indoor playtime
- Special visitors to the classroom throughout the year including the Pittsburgh Zoo and the local fire department.
Why choose Terrific Twos
We believe that play based education is the best way preschool aged children learn. Our teachers take time in planning to ensure that the learning process is fun. You can find your child exploring things in a hands on enviornment while they learn to share and take turns.
Our classes are kept small with a ratio of no more than 11 children in a classroom with two teachers. This helps the teachers truly get to know each individual child.

Simply pack a dairy lunch for your child.
Our Mini Munchers is a year long extended day program for children currently enrolled in our Toddler Two’s class.
This enrichment program offers a variety of new skills for your child to learn as well as reinforcing the ones they are learning in their morning classroom. Your child will bring their lunch with them to school and begin learning how to sit among peers and adults to eat lunch. They will also begin to learn the importance of eating their healthy food first. After lunch they will have time to continue building social skills while playing with their friends.
